A day tour like a journey for nature and wildlife lovers. From Vuollerim we propose a private arctic snowmobile experience. After a welcome coffee, initiation briefing and securities instructions, departure for a ride into a deep white forest. A beautiful landscape itinerary of conifers, pines, firs and spruces forming “candelabra” trees in extreme cold. With our binoculars and camera, if we are lucky, we could see reindeers and mooses who are in this area during winter time. A soft and authentic day trip particularly varied. We will take tracks and trails between frozen lakes and taiga. Alternating landscapes frozen by the cold. Welcome to Vuollerim and departure for a great discovery day. Aboard our four wheel drive we leave in the direction of Nattavaara. A vast area of primary forest bordering by the Muddus National Park, classified as a World Heritage region of Lapland. Strongly marked by the last glaciations, the southern part that we travel is made up of plains, peat bogs and of a vast taiga forest. The landscapes are typical and very authentic. We mainly evolve off road. We will observe and try to find reindeer, moose and ptarmigan. Twice we will cross the Arctic Circle. Homemade fireplace lunch to the deep nature. From Vuollerim we propose an ice fishing experience, also called white fishing.. With our snowmobiles (you will be passenger) we will reach a little lakes located 25 minutes from our place. With us all the necessary equipment as well as fishing license. You will have to make a hole in the ice using a manual drill then practice with your rod what is called "waddling". This random fishing requires patience and also resistance to the cold. Little perch or pike which are under the layer of ice live during winter time in hibernation mode and are sometimes very curious when we offer them our bait. From Vuollerim we propose a private arctic snowmobile adventure. After briefing and securities instructions, departure for two days and one night into the wild. A beautiful landscape itinerary of conifers, pines, firs and spruces forming “candelabra” trees in extreme cold. An authentic trip for adventurers particularly varied crossing moose and reindeer territory. We will take tracks and trails between frozen lakes and taiga, alternating landscapes frozen by the cold. This trip also cross the arctic circle where we will spend a night in a wilderness cabin (no electricity, no running water). Physical skills and cold endurance are required. Meeting point at Jokkmokk and departure towards Karats. A day trip expedition aboard an indian canoe. After 55 minutes off road the Scandinavian mountains appear. A unique three-dimensional landscape for a one-day discovery between lakes, taiga and mountains. We're now in the heart of an intact and preserved nature. We will go in search of a small sandy beach where we will set up our base camp and where we will organize a lunch around a fire place. An ancestral backcountry ski from the Altaï mountains, which subtly combines Nordic ski and snowshoeing. The Altai ski is a short and wide ski with seal skin offering great maneuverability and buoyancy.
We will take tracks and trails between frozen lakes and taiga. the territory is made up of frozen marshy heath sheltering heather and berries and animal species such as reindeer, elk, foxes, ptarmigan. A landscape of conifers, pines, firs and spruces forming “candelabra” trees in very cold weather. Along the way, we build a fire and have a picnic lunch.

At our French table d'hôte, every evening a suggestion such as, Fondue Savoyarde, Hachis Parmentier, Kotbullar, Laxsoppa, Kalops, Tarte Tatin, Kanel bullar, Lemon meringue tart, chocolate cake.
Since our beginnings we have attached particular care to the art of the table. It is therefore quite natural that during our activities we always plan a homemade picnic lunch, bon appétit !

If you want to experience dogsledding as well as learn more about life on a husky farm, you will join Kristien and Olav from Frosty Trails. A sled tour, but also meet the dogs in their own environment. There will be plenty of time to talk with a musher while you are enjoying a nice lunch made in a traditional log hut with a fire.
You will be out for a tour of around 15-20 km, depending on the snow conditions, reindeer, and temperature. Tour will lead you over lakes and through the boreal forest. After tour you will have the opportunity to spend some time in the dog yard to meet them, a good time to take some more pictures or just cuddle.
A private moose watching day dedicated to the king of the forest ! Wild and fearful, his observation is an art and also a privilege. Despite a very good knowledge of its environment and its habits, it is always a game of hide and seek that begins when we set out in search of this giant of the taiga. We will follow the tracks left in the fresh snow and as discreetly as possible we will try to observe this majestic animal.
Patience and sometimes even resilience because nothing is ever guaranteed but what intense joy when it finally appears in front of us or in your lens...
