A warm welcome in Lapland
In 2003, I (Max), then working as a travel agent, arrived in Lapland with Sandra.
We instantly fell in love with this wild and untouched land. Using our savings, we bought a cozy log cabin tucked away in the vast taiga forest.
Before long, we began welcoming friends, travelers, photographers, writers, fishermen, mushers… and the KuksaCabin adventure was born.
Over the years, our experience grew. Sandra, a graduate of a hospitality school, now takes care of the welcome, accommodation, and meals. Her delicious homemade dishes, especially when enjoyed around a warm fire at -20°C, are always a highlight of the day. She’s also passionate about ice fishing, berry picking, and foraging for mushrooms.
As for me, I became a certified snowmobile guide and a canoe tour leader in the summer. My passion lies in tracking and observing wildlife – especially the majestic moose.
Today, we welcome you to Vuollerim, a charming village located right on the Arctic Circle, in Swedish Lapland. This is where you’ll find our chalet, Arctic Cloudberry, your cozy base for an intimate and authentic stay.
We organize your stay according to your preferences: all-inclusive or à la carte, with the perfect balance between freedom and guided adventures.
Our trips are fully private and designed for 1 to 4 people, ideal for families or small groups of friends seeking a unique northern escape.
At KuksaCabin, we live by our own version of the “Triple A”:
Authenticity, Adventure and a Warm Welcome.
See you,
Sandra & Max
